A photographer is one who captures light, or someone who takes photographs using a camera. A professional photographer uses photography to take photographs to record an event, emotion, place or person like commercial photography.

I have filmed and photographed weddings all around hawaii and specialize in destination weddings. I use state of the art digital photography equipment.

Wedding Photography

Wedding photography is the photography of activities relating to weddings. It encompasses photographs of the couple before marriage (for announcements, portrait displays, or thank you cards) as well as coverage of the wedding and reception (sometimes referred to as the wedding breakfast in non-US countries). It is a major commercial endeavor that supports the bulk of the efforts for many photography studios or independent photographers.

There are two primary approaches to wedding photography that are recognized today: Traditional and Photojournalistic. Traditional wedding photography provides for more classically posed images and a great deal of photographer control and interaction on the day of the wedding. Photojournalistic wedding photography takes its cue from editorial reporting styles and focuses more on candid and unposed images with little photographer interaction. These are two extremes and many of today's photographers will fall somewhere in the middle of these two styles.


Sean is a professional photographer who runs his own wedding photography and videography business. He currently lives and works on the island of Maui, Hawaii where he has clearly devoted his attention and skills towards the art of photography. He picked up a camera at the age of seven, inspired by talent he saw in Time Life & National Geographic Magazines. He literally started his career behind the camera as a child actor & model where a seed was planted, and from there, his passion grew. Sean later achieved his B.A. in Fine Arts in 1996, Magna Cum Laude, with an emphasis in photography and cinematography. He has photographed and worked abroad in 20 plus countries where he has an eye for the surreal and visually rich moments; telling a story with his camera vs. a written dialogue. His photographs have appeared in numerous publications and exhibitions. He specializes in weddings, family portraits, social events, and various celebrations. He is known to be very easy to work with and watches the day un-fold by capturing the most important moments without being invasive. He seems inspired to tell people's stories through his imagery.
